Organization
The platform Wijzer in geldzaken has around forty partners who
have signed the partner agreement. A steering committee makes
strategic choices and takes decisions for the group partnership. A
management group, comprised of members of the steering committee,
ensures that programmes and projects are run according to general
strategy lines.
The projects are implemented by (combinations of) partners. A
facilitating project bureau supports the steering committee, the
management group and the partners, and ensures the realisation of
several basic services.
Her Royal Highness Princess Máxima of the Netherlands has been
honorary chair of the national partnership 'Wiser in Money
Matters' since September 2010. In this capacity, the Princess seeks
to draw attention to the importance of learning about financial
matters and how to deal with money, especially in the case of
children and young people. She acts as special advisor to the
partnership and talks to interested parties on ways of increasing
financial self-sufficiency. The Princess has been involved in the
partnership's activities for some time now and, as honorary chair,
underlines the importance of financial literacy and of working with
partners to achieve it.
